After years of experience overhauling, building and tuning race spec cylinder heads for all forms of motorsport, Powermax Engineering Ltd have designed and manufactured a solid tappet conversion kit for some of the most common engines we deal with.

The original tappets in the 1JZ & 2JZ engnes are solid tappets that use a shim. These tend to dislodge at high RPM and can casue extensive engine damage.

Our upgrade kit replaces the original setup with a modified solid version that does not require a shim, leaving it a lot more reliable and secure.
